Q1 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Randolph County?

There were 11 offenders living in Randolph County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows nine men and two women were released in Randolph County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 39. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2020, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Wenzel A. Eric. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017 when he was 32 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
