City of Red Bud Zoning Committee met March 20.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Alan Piel, Curt Guebert, Ben Schwartzkopf, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois

Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Mike Rheinecker, Bill Hanebutt, Kyle Donjon

Others Present: Acting Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin. Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Piel called the meeting to order at 7:06 P.M.

Old Business

I. Comprehensive Plan

On hold

II. East Industrial Park Expansion Project

Volkert has the intersection design study completed and sent to IDOT. IDOT’s review could take up to six months.

III. Dollar General Update

An exact list of what Dollar General needs has been given to them by Attorney Ray and Code Administrator Mueller. They seem to be interested.

IV. City Hall Repair Schedule

Code Administrator Mueller said this is budgeted, and Poetker is exploring possible grants.

V. Zoning Land Use Table

This is finalized and the hearing is Tuesday, March 21, 2023. It will be on the City Council agenda for approval in April.

VI. Splash Pad Update

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting February 20, 2023 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the February 20, 2023, meeting. Carried

II. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City There are two hearings at the meeting March 21st.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:18 P.M.
