City of Red Bud Zoning Committee met April 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Alan Piel, Curt Guebert, Ben Schwartzkopf, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois

Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Mike Rheinecker, Bill Hanebutt, Kyle Donjon

Others Present: City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin. Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker,

City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Others Absent: Acting Mayor Susan Harbaugh Committee Chairman Piel called the meeting to order at 6:51 P.M.

Old Business

I. Comprehensive Plan

On hold, waiting on grant availability.

II. East Industrial Park Expansion Project

Volkert has the intersection design study completed and sent to IDOT. IDOT’s review could take up to six months.

III. City Hall Repair Schedule

We are waiting for available grants.

IV. Splash Pad Update

Mueller is working with selecting features, which will then be sent to Vortex. (Remove from zoning agenda.)

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – March 20, 2023

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the minutes from the March 20, 2023, meeting. Carried

II. Hubbard Land Donation Ordinance No. 1516

Regarding property between Dollar General and Lincoln Park

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve ORDINANCE NO. 1516: “AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING REAL PROPERTY AND DESIGNATING PARK AREA.” Carried

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Committee Chairman Piel requested that Jeff Mueller’s job title be returned to city engineer/code administrator, as it originally was. This will be moved to the personnel committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:54 P.M.
