Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met April 26.

The following members answered roll call at the special meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on April 26, 2023: Present: John Megginson, Brad Smith, Jamie Kuhlmann, and Carl Kessler. Absent: Michael Bates, Matt Kern, and Josh Smith. Also present were Darren Root, Christy Bailey, Parent “A”, Grandparent “A”, and Student “A”.
B. Smith moved to adopt the agenda. Kessler seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:
Bates absent Megginson yea
Kern absent B. Smith yea
Kessler yea J. Smith absent
Kuhlmann yea
There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.
B. Smith moved enter Closed Session at 6:02 pm. Kessler seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:
Bates absent Megginson yea
Kern absent B. Smith yea
Kessler yea J. Smith absent
Kuhlmann yea
There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.
Board came out of Closed Session at 6:20 pm.
Kuhlmann moved to adopt Resolution of Expulsion. Kessler seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:
Bates absent Megginson yea
Kern absent B. Smith yea
Kessler yea J. Smith absent
Kuhlmann yea
There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.
B. Smith moved to adjourn at 6:23 pm. Kuhlmann seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.
