City of Pinckneyville City Council met June 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council during Public Comment. To have a specific matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient information to allow the City Clerk to determine the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the Council with the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same or similar issues should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members.

COMMISSIONER HICKS

1. Request to close streets surrounding St. Bruno Church from 10:00 a.m. July 15, 2023 through 8:00 a.m. on July 16, 2023 for annual church picnic.

COMMISSIONER KUHNERT

1. Resolution No. R-2023-25, a resolution placed on file at the May 31, 2023, Special Council Meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into an employment contract (Assistant Utility Superintendent and Park Manager).

2. Ordinance No. O-2023-08, an ordinance authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into a lease of the premises at 5512 State Route 154, Pinckneyville, Illinois with Perry-Jackson County Child Advocacy Center.

3. Request approval to purchase a Program Logic Controller for a price not to exceed $9,425.00 from The Logicon Group.

4. Request approval to hire Wyatt Vaughn as a part-time worker for the summer.

1. Ordinance No. O-2023-10, an ordinance to be placed on file, to amend Section 52.034 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois.

2. Construction on Iowa Street will begin Monday, June 12, 2023, contracted by Red Dot Construction. 3. Reminder to residents not to blow grass clippings or leaves into the street as it can be hazardous and can clog the storm sewer drainage system. Loose grass clippings and leaves should be placed separately from limbs in the edge of the resident’s yard within 5 feet of the street or sidewalk for pick up by street workers. Placing them in the street is a violation of the City Ordinance which comes with a warning and/or fine.

MAYOR SPENCER

1. Resolution No. R-2023-26, a resolution placed on file at the May 31, 2023, Special Council Meeting, to authorize and approve an Addendum to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois and the Laborers’ International Union of North America, the Southern and Central Illinois Laborers’ District Council, and Laborers’ Local 773.

2. Resolution No. R. 2023-27, a resolution placed on file at the May 31, 2023, Special Council Meeting, to accept the bid of Kamadulski Excavating and Grading Company, Inc. for labor, materials, and equipment for the Illinois State Route 127 Sewer Line Relocation Project.

3. Ordinance No. O-2023-09, an ordinance authorizing approval of an application from Steve Tanner and Dawn Tanner for Façade Improvement Grant Funds of the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, and committing Façade Improvement Grant Funds from the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois. 4. Request from Beth Miller-Porter to discuss sewer charges for Panther Wash. Please see attached. 5. Public comment
