City of Pinckneyville City Council met July 10.

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council during Public Comment. To have a specific matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient information to allow the City Clerk to determine the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the Council with the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same or similar issues should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members.

COMMISSIONER HICKS
1. American Thresherman Association, Inc., requests permission to close Ballpark Road during the 2023 August ATA Show Monday, August 14, 2023, and reopen it on Monday, August 21,2023. They also request to have the Opening Power of Parade travel through town on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., following the Mardi Gras Parade route..
2. American Thresherman Association, Inc., requests $1,500 donation from the hotel/motel tax fund to help offset some of the 2023 advertising costs.
3. Lauren Moore of Taps and Vine requests removal of a banner in front of her business sign at 9 West Jackson Street. Please see attached.
4. Request from Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce to collect at 4-way stop by Stotlar Drug on September 23, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Chamber Mardi gras Queen Pageant.
COMMISSIONER KUHNERT
1. Request approval of an invoice from USDI in the amount of $24,465.40 for boring and installation of the 2” gas main in Imperial Heights to be paid from the gas fund.
2. Request approval to hire and post a Notice of Bid for an Operator - Wastewater Treatment Plants.
3. Request approval of a quote from Subsurface Solutions in the total amount of $8,858.00 for a new RD8200 10 Watt radiodetection transmitter kit to be split equally between the gas and water fund.
COMMISSIONER PERADOTTA
1. Reminder: Streets within the boundaries of South Main Street, West Water Street, Mill Street, and Parker Street, along with part of Mann Drive, Front Street, County Road, Arch, Midway and fairground entrance, will be oiled and chipped July 11, 12, and 13, weather permitting. Illini Asphalt has been contracted to do the work.
