City of Red Bud Public Health and Safety Committee met June 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Mike Rheinecker, Curt Guebert, Rodney Nevois, Kyle Donjon

Committee Members Absent:

Council Members Present: Alan Piel

Council Members Absent: Ben Schwartzkopf, Jeremy DeMond

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Others Absent: Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker

Committee Chairman Hanebutt called the meeting to order at 6:06 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – May 15, 2023 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to approve the minutes from the May 15, 2023, meeting. Carried

II. Departmental Activity Report

The monthly department activity report was included in the packets.

III. MOU with Deaconess Regarding 340B Program

This agreement is a letter of support and enables the hospital, which is now a not-for profit, to better serve the community through 340B programs.

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to authorize signatures on the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Red Bud and Deaconess Illinois Red Bud Regional Hospital, Inc. regarding 340B programs. Carried

IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Committee Member Nevois said he has been receiving complaints at 1114 Flint Street. There are a total of eight vehicles, some inoperative, a boat, an ATV and with the limo sitting on the street all the time, the road becomes impassable. Chairman Hanebutt will get with Chief Brittingham to address the matter again.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:12 P.M.
