Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met July 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on July 19, 2023: Present: Carl Kessler, Josh Smith, Brad Smith, and Jamie Kuhlmann. Absent: Matt Kern, Jeff Miller, and Michael Bates. Also present were Darren Root, Nathan Essex, Landon Lounsberry, and Matt Grimm. Present: Abby Fritz, Sandy Jones, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board.

Kuhlmann moved to adopt the agenda. B. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates absent        Miller absent

Kern absent         B. Smith yea

Kessler yea          J. Smith yea

Kuhlmann yea

There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith moved to enter Closed Session (personnel) at 7:03 pm. J. Smith seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous the president declared the motion carried.

The Board came out of Closed Session at 7:31 pm.
