Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met Aug. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on August 9, 2023: Present: Carl Kessler, Josh Smith, Brad Smith, and Michael Bates. Absent: Matt Kern, Jeff Miller, and Jamie Kuhlmann. Also present were Darren Root, Nathan Essex, Christy Bailey, Matt Grimm, and Seth McCoy. Present: Abby Fritz, Sandy Jones, Sandy Parrish, Anne Scmidt, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board.

J. Smith moved to adopt the agenda. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea          Miller absent

Kern absent      B. Smith yea

Kessler yea       J. Smith yea

Kuhlmann absent

There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

There being 4 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith moved to adjourn at 7:41 pm. J. Smith seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous the president declared the motion carried.
