City of Red Bud Zoning Committee met Sept. 18.

Committee Chairman Piel called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
Old Business
I. Comprehensive Plan
Chairman Piel reported that the planning commission had interviewed three potential companies, narrowed it down to two. Code Admin./City Engineer Mueller will be checking references for the next planning commission meeting. The planning commission is expected to have a recommendation for the next committee meeting.
II. Red Bud Business Park Expansion Project
A. Industrial Park Cost Comparison
The Industrial Park Cost Comparison was discussed. Chairman Piel said no one seemed to have any issues with the 50/50/25 setbacks.
New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting August 21, 2023 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the August 21, 2023, meeting. Motion Carried.
II. ROE Requests
Monroe-Randolph Regional Office of Education Superintendent Kelton Davis spoke on the public parking, school bus congestion/turning on Red Bud Street, ADA accessibility and drainage from Red Bud Street issues. Mr. Davis outlined several proposals for the city to consider, with estimated costs of projects. These requests will be tabled pending more information and discussion.
III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
