State Representative David Friess and District Director Cathy Dupertuis recently met with key stakeholders in Red Bud, Illinois to discuss the economic potential of downstate Illinois. The meeting, attended by Red Bud Chamber of Commerce Board Members Brad Mayberry and Quinn Johnson, as well as representatives from Discover Downstate Illinois, focused on highlighting the unique offerings of the district.

The Red Bud Chamber of Commerce has been actively working towards fostering economic growth for its members and the local community. One of their notable achievements in the past year has been the production of a comprehensive visitors guide, available at www.redbudchamber.com. The guide provides essential information about businesses, attractions, and points of interest in the area, making it a valuable resource for residents and visitors.

Building on this success, the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Discover Downstate Illinois to enhance the guide and showcase the many attractions that make Red Bud a remarkable place. Discover Downstate Illinois covers more ground than any other Convention and Visitor’s Bureau in the state, representing 21 counties.

"We are thrilled to be working closely with the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce and Discover Downstate Illinois to promote the incredible offerings of our district," said Rep. Friess. "Our goal is to attract visitors to stay in our local hotels, explore our attractions, and experience our shopping destinations, wineries, and restaurants. There's a lot to do in downstate Illinois!"

The collaboration between the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce and Discover Downstate Illinois aims to boost tourism and economic growth in the region. By showcasing the district's unique attractions, they hope to attract more visitors and generate revenue for local businesses.
