Aledo Community Unit School District 201 Board met Nov. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER On November 6, 2023, at 4:31 p.m. President Hoover called to order the special meeting of the Community Unit School District 201 Board of Education.

Roll Call Members Present: Adina Hoover, Jessica Radogno, Angela Steketee, Kevin Marren, Leah Conover 

Carlos Hevia arrived at 4:34 p.m.

Members absent: Whitney Rogers

Also present: Superintendent Jack Baldermann, Tiffanie Torrisi, Director of Student Services, and Mike Lipinski, Assistant Principal, Westmont Junior High School

Pledge of Allegiance Adina Hoover led the Assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CLOSED SESSION To consider an Individual Student Disciplinary Matter - student 2024-01, pursuant to Section 2(c)(9) The Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9)) 

Motion by Ms. Conover, second by Mr. Marren, to adjourn the public session of the meeting and enter into closed session to consider individual student disciplinary matters. 

Ayes: Conover, Marren, Radogno, Steketee, Hoover 

Nays: None. 

Motion Carries. 

The Board entered closed session at 4:34 p.m. 

The Board returned to open session at 5:57 p.m.

ACTION ITEM

Student Disciplinary Decision/Action -Student 2024-01 

Motion by Ms. Radogno, second by Ms. Conover, to approve the Resolution Authorizing Action of Student 2024-01. 

Ayes: Conover, Marren, Radogno, Steketee, Hoover, Hevia 

Nays: None. 

Motion Carried.

ADJOURNMENT Motion by Ms. Conover, second by Mr. Marren, to adjourn the November 6, 2023, special meeting of the Board of Education at 5:58 p.m.. 

Motion unanimously passed.
