City of Red Bud Recreational Facilities Committee met Dec. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Kyle Donjon, Alan Piel, Bill Hanebutt, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois

Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Ben Schwartzkopf, Curt Guebert, Mike Rheinecker

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker

Others Absent: Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Chairman Donjon called the meeting to order at 6:15 P.M.

Old Business

I. Ratz Park Renovation Project Update

The splash pad rebid went out December 14th and opening is set for January 26, 2024.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – November 20, 2023

Recommendation made by Committee Chaiman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Piel, to approve the minutes from the November 20, 2023, meeting. Motion Carried.

II. Davey Tree Proposal for Work at Lincoln and Ratz Park

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the proposal from Davey’s for stump grinding, NTE $2,000. Motion Carried.

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Committee Member Hanebutt asked if Davey’s had completed the list that was previously approved. Superintendent Eckart said they had, but there was nothing in the bid for removing the stumps.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:18 P.M.
