Chester Community Unit School District 139 Board of Education met Feb. 8.

9.1 Approve Baysinger’s base bid with Samron Contracting, Inc. -Murphysboro for the Chester High Stage #1 of Professor Sharp’s Media Center in the amount of $44,744.74.

9.2 Approve Shivelbines additional proposal for sound and lighting for $20,418.96.

9.3 Approve Baysinger Architects LLC Certificates for payment for Zeller Construction of Marion, Inc. for Chester CUSD 139 Building Re-Keying Project for $53,906.80

9.4 Set Graduation dates for Grade School on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 6 pm and High School on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3 pm

9.5 Adopt the amended 2023-24 school calendar as presented

9.6 Approve facility request from Memorial Hospital to use the high school Cobert Gym for their Fun Walk & Run on March 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m as an alternate location.

9.7 Approve MOU between Chester CUSD 139 Board of Education and the Chester Education Association, IEA-NEA, for JH Golf Sponsor
