District 115, Mar 1 2024 - Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the contributions of women to our nation, both in the past and present. In a recent initiative by Rep. Friess, notable women in District 115 were recognized for their achievements.

One of the honorees, Violette Nast, was congratulated by Rep. Friess as she received the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. Another event organized by Rep. Friess’ office was the Women’s Leadership Initiative Success Dinner, aimed at highlighting the accomplishments of women in the district.

The Women’s Leadership Initiative, spearheaded by Rep. Friess, has been instrumental in creating networking opportunities for women in the community. Events like the Women’s Leadership Initiative Midway Luncheon have provided a platform for women to connect and support each other.

During Women’s Small Business Month, Amy Mills was celebrated for her contributions to the district. Rep. Friess has also taken the time to honor mentors and mentees through the Women’s Leadership Initiative Dinner, recognizing the importance of mentorship in empowering women.
