City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met Feb. 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Jeremy DeMond, Mike Rheinecker, Curt Guebert, Kyle Donjon

Committee Members Absent: Ben Schwartzkopf

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Alan Piel, Rodney Nevois

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Mayor Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 6:07 P.M.

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting January 15, 2024

Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the minutes from the January 15, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Request from Buena Vista Bank to Host Easter Egg Hunt at Ratz Park – March 23, 2024, at 1 P.M.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Rheinecker, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the request from the Buena Vista Bank to host an Easter Egg Hunt at Ratz Park on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1 P.M. Carried

III. Community Garden – Authorization to Construct Additional Garden Boxes

Recommendation made by Committee Member Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval to build additional garden boxes, NTE $2,000. Carried

IV. Community Garden – Authorization to Build Compost Bin NTE $300

Recommendation made by Committee Member Rheinecker, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval to build a compost bin for the community garden, NTE $300. Carried

V. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Ryan Dannenberg had submitted a request for Vice’s Spring Fling event after the agenda went out, so it will be added to the regular March council agenda.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:12 P.M.
