City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met March 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Jeremy DeMond, Mike Rheinecker, Curt Guebert

Committee Members Absent: Ben Schwartzkopf, Kyle Donjon

Council Members Present: Alan Piel, Rodney Nevois

Council Members Absent: Bill Hanebutt

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Mayor Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 6:34 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting February 19, 2024

Recommendation made by Committee Member Rheinecker, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the minutes from the February 19, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Request from Santa’s Village to Collect at the 4-Way Stop on July 25, 2024

Recommendation made by Committee Member DeMond, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the request from Santa’s Village to collect at the 4-Way on July 25, 2024, 3:00-6:00 P.M. Carried

III. Authorization for Solar Eclipse Budget

The Chamber is taking care of the marketing side of the event, which was agreed to a couple of weeks ago, by our city representative.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval of the budget for the Solar Eclipse Event at Lincoln Park on April 8, 2024, NTE $1,500. Carried

IV. Authorization to Allow Food Vendors, Music and Additional Trash Cans and Electrical at Lincoln Park for Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024

Mayor Harbaugh will check on the ordinance regarding food vendors’ required permits.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval for Food Vendors, music, additional trash can and electrical hookups for the Solar Eclipse Event at Lincoln Park on April 8, 2024. Carried

V. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

The meeting was adjourned at 6:38 P.M.
