Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met April 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on April 17, 2024: Present: Michael Bates, Jamie Kuhlmann, Brad Smith, Jeff Miller, and Lynde Pavich. Absent: Josh Smith and Carl Kessler. Also present were Darren Root, Landon Lounsberry, Christy Bailey, Amy Donaldson, and Seth McCoy. Present: Sandy Jones, Anne Schmidt, Ryan Leonard, Tina Leonard, Josh Lowry, Cora Cowry, Pam Tarr, Dawn Wheat, Emily Kuntemeier, Jodi Reese, Katie Thompson, Sandy Parrish, Tonya Busby, Kim Ladage, Cindy Essex, Vikki Torres, Levi Spellbrink, Jovan Richmond, Kaelyn Mitchell, Bob Mitchell, Autumn Litteken, Garrett Litteken, Nate Robinson, Heather Karaffa, Trish Groeninger, Abby Fritz, Mackenzie Kesinger, Lori Bolletta, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board. 

Miller moved to adopt the agenda. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea            L. Pavich yea

Kessler absent    B. Smith yea

Kuhlmann yea     J. Smith absent

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith moved to enter Closed Session at 7:10 pm. Miller seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

Board came out of Closed Session at 7:57 pm.

Pavich seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith nominated J. Smith for Treasurer. There were no more nominations. The voting was as follows:

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith moved to re-employ Social Workers. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

Miller moved to re-employ AD, Seth McCoy. B. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the vice-president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to adjourn at 8:10 pm. Miller seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous the vice president declared the motion carried.
