Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met May 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on May 15, 2024: Present: Carl Kessler, Michael Bates, Jamie Kuhlmann, Brad Smith, Jeff Miller, and Lynde Pavich. Absent: Josh Smith. Also present were Darren Root, Landon Lounsberry, Christy Bailey, Amy Donaldson, Matt Grimm, and Seth McCoy. Present: Bev Schmitz, Delene Carey, Laurie King, Angela Leonard, Katie Thompson, Marley Schmidt, Alex King, Katie Gardner, Ryan Gardner, Dawn Wheat, Melinda Marques, Erin Bidleman, Sandy Parrish, Ashley Lex, Gayle Staggemeyer, Kelsie Fairfull, Suzanne Smith, Sandy Jones, Jodi Reese, Jill DeBrun-Slightom, Whitney Rikas, David Rikas, Isaac Schmidt, Mallory Wise Sara Kraus, Michele Bates, Melissa Miller, Tahney Fletcher, Cindy Esses, Kyle Gilbert, Mackenzie Kesinger, Autumn Litteken, Heather Karaffa, Jason Jones, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board.

Miller moved to adopt the agenda. B. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Kessler yea        B. Smith yea

Kuhlmann yea    J. Smith absent

Miller yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Kuhlmann moved to enter Closed Session at 7:30 pm. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Kuhlmann moved to employ HS assistant principal - Ryan Gardner. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

B. Smith moved to set FY25 school fees. Miller seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Kuhlmann yea    J. Smith absent

Miller yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Kuhlmann moved to set FY25 meal prices. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Miller yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to adjourn at 8:39 pm. B. Smith seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous the president declared the motion carried.
