City of Pinckneyville City Council met Aug. 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

CORRESPONDENCE

COMMISSIONER HICKS

1. Request approval to promote Caleb Howard to Assistant Fire Chief, David Pearson to Captain, and re-appoint Josh Bathon as Lieutenant. Please see attached.

COMMISSIONER KUHNERT

1. Request approval to hire recommended applicant for the Wastewater Operator position. Please see attached.

2. Request approval of a quote from Illinois Electric for $8,381.00 to replace one of the VFD’s at the Junior High Booster Station that failed. This was an emergency approval signed by Mayor Spencer. Please see attached.

3. Request approval of quote from Municipal Equipment for $10,128.13 to replace the control panel at the backwash pump station by the creek. Please see attached.

4. Request approval of quote from JC’s Air Conditioning & Refrigeration for $4,050.00 to replace a hanging building heater that went out last winter in the water plant. Please see attached.

1. Ordinance No. O-2024-07, an ordinance placed on file at the July 22, 2024, regular council meeting, to vacate a portion of South Duckworth Street within the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois. (Replaces Resolution No. R-2024-27 tabled at the June 24, 2024, regular council meeting).

COMMISSIONER STOTLAR

1. Resolution No. R-2024-33, a resolution placed on file at the July 22, 2024, regular council meeting, to accept a bid proposal from Security Alarm Corporation for a security camera system at the Pinckneyville Community Center.

MAYOR SPENCER

1. Resolution No. R-2024-34, a resolution placed on file at the July 22, 2024, regular council meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into a lease of office space located in the Pinckneyville Community Center to the County of Perry, Illinois.

2. Resolution No. R-2024-35, a resolution authorizing notice of sale of municipally owned real estate-707 Belle Avenue. Please see attached.

3. Resolution No. R-2024-36, a resolution to be placed on file to accept a bid proposal from Empire Earth and Concrete Company, to remove and replace damaged sidewalk at 710 S. Main Street, Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois. Please see attached.

4. Resolution No. R-2024-37, a resolution to be placed on file to accept a bid proposal from Greenridge Landscaping Services to improve visibility at the intersection of North Main Street and Laurel Street in the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, IL. Please see attached.

5. Resolution No. R-2024-38, a resolution to be placed on file authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the Laborers’ International Union of North America, the Downstate Laborers’ District Council, and Laborer’s Local 773. Please see attached.

6. Ordinance No. O-2024-09, an ordinance to be placed on file authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into a first amendment to amended and restated option and lease agreement (south) with Kiwi Solar 2, LLC. Please see attached.

7. Request approval of an estimate from McDaniel’s Furniture for flooring and installation for the Community Center Board Room at a total cost of $5,680.00. Please see attached.

8. Request approval of an estimate from McDaniel’s Furniture for flooring and installation for upstairs hall and waiting room in Community Center at a total cost of $12,340.00.
