Perry County Board of Commissioners met Aug. 15.

Approval of Minutes 

I. Approval of the Board of Commissioner regular meeting minutes of the August 1, 2024 New & Unfinished Business:  

Ordinances: 1. Ordinance Adopting a revised code of Ordinances of the County of Perry, Illinois #05 

2. Ordinance: Authorizing the submission of a question to the voters regarding the office of the  Supervisor of Assessments. #06 

3. Ordinance: Authorization to utilize American Rescue Planning Act Funds to assist with the  cost of hot water heater and boiler replacement at the Perry County Jail. #07 

Resolutions: 

1. SUP-24-04 Robert Newton to place a new mobile home, 1,740 sf, at 7505 Pintail Road,  Tamaroa, IL in the Agriculture zoned area of Perry County. Resolution #69 

2. SUP-24-05 Camelot Solar, LLC for a special use permit for construction of a 157 MW AC solar  electric generating facility that will be located outside of DuQuoin in unincorporated Perry  County, Illinois. Resolution #70  

3. Approve reappointment of Brian Otten as County Engineer. Resolution #71 

4. Approve Agreement for County Engineer’s Salary. Resolution #72 

5. Approve moving the September 5th, 2024 County Board meeting to DuQuoin City Hall. Resolution #73 

6. Approve Pavement Marking Contract with America’s Parking Remarking #74 

7. Perry County as Trustee for the taxing districts therein, has undertaken a program to collect  delinquent taxes and to perfect title to real property in cases in which the taxes on such real  property nave not been paid, pursuant to 35ILCS 200/21-90 Permanent Parcel Number 2-61-1730- 100. #75

8. Approve of temporarily transferring fund from contingency funds to animal control. #76 

9. Resolution to discuss and vote on referendum on separation Perry County Il. from Cook County  Il. #77 

10. Resolution approving the Board of Commissioners joins with the Illinois Workforce Development  Partnerships in designating the month of September as Workforce Development Professionals  Month to honor all of those individuals in all the Workforce Development organizations and  partnerships who play such a vital role in our economy. #78
