Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met Aug. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the special meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on August 9, 2024: Present: Carl Kessler, Jeff Miller, Brad Smith, Lynde Pavich, Jamie Kuhlmann, Michael Bates, and Josh Smith. Also present: Darren Root and Matt Grimm. Present: Sandy Parrish, Dawn Wheat, Becky Millburg, Sara Kraus, Jodi Reese, Marley Schmidt, Alex King, Katie Thompson, Corey Thompson, Melinda Marques, Anne Schmidt, and Kelsey Stark. 

Bates moved to adopt the agenda. Josh seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea         Miller yea

B. Smith yea    Kessler yea

J. Smith yea     Kuhlmann yea

Pavich yea

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to approve support staff raises of 5.75% and benefits of $700 monthly to go towards health insurance not to exceed premium. Kuhlmann seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea         Miller yea

B. Smith yea    Kessler yea

J. Smith yea     Kuhlmann yea

Pavich yea

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

J. Smith moved to enter Closed Session at 7:04 am. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea         Miller yea

B. Smith yea    Kessler yea

J. Smith yea     Kuhlmann yea

Pavich yea

There being 7 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Board came out of Closed Session at 8:06 am.

Bates moved to adjourn at 8:06 am. J. Smith seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous.

The president declared the motion carried.
