Pinckneyville School District 50 Board of Education met Sept. 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. A regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #50, Perry and Washington Counties, Illinois was held at the Pinckneyville Grade School Building in said district at 6:00 P.M. on September 26, 2024

2. The President called the meeting to order and directed the secretary to take roll. The roll was taken and Paul Nehrkorn, Vice-President and the following members were present: Justin Martin, Aaron Johnson and Michael Porter were present. Austin Marlow, Kyle Pursell and Gideon Hutchcraft were absent. Also present were the following people: Brian Pasero, Brittany McConachie, Tyson Tanner.

3. Budget Hearing - Informational

4. Executive Session - A motion was made by Aaron Johnson and seconded by Justin Martin to go into Executive session for the purpose of discussing: Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No - 0. Motion carried.

The appointment, compensation, employment, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), as amended by P.A. 93-57)

Student disciplinary cases (5 ILCS 120/2c9)

All other matters falling under school code % ILCS 120/2c,10)

Coming out of Executive Session- A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Martin to come out of executive session. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No -0. Motion carried.

5. Regular Session

6. Consent agenda - A motion was made by Johnson and seconded by Porter to approve the Consent agenda Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No-0. Motion carried.

7. Visitors and Committees were welcomed.

8.1 2024-2025 Budget – A motion was made by Martin and seconded by Johnson to approve the 2024-2025 budget as presented. Roll call vote: Yes - Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No 0 Motion carried.

9.1 Freedom of Information - Informational

9.2 Administrative and Teacher Compensation Report - A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Johnson to approve the FY2024 Administrative and Teacher Compensation Report as Presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes- 4 No -0. Motion carried.

9.3 SRO Agreement - A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Martin to approve the SRO agreement with the City of Pinckneyville to provide SRO services as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No-0. Motion carried. School District #50 Board of Education September 26, 2024

9.4 Board Policy - Press Issue 116 – Informational

9.5 October Regular Meeting - A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Martin to approve amending the start time for the Regular Meeting on Oct 17, 2024 to 7:15 p.m. Roll call vote: Yes-Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes-4 No-0. Motion carried.

9.6 Disposal of Personal Property - A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Martin to approve the disposal of 18 Baseball and 18 Softball jerseys, purchased in 2019 and no longer in use, as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No -0. Motion carried.

9.7 Health Life Safety Amendment - A motion was made by Martin and seconded by Porter to approve a 2024 Amendment to the current Health Life Safety Survey as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No-0. Motion carried.

11.1 FMLA Request - A motion was made by Johnson and seconded by Martin to approve the FMLA request of Dana Kellerman as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No-0. Motion carried.

11.2 Assistant Cheerleading - A motion was made by Johnson and seconded by Porter to approve and employ Livia Queen as Jr. High Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the 2024-2025 Season. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes -4 No-0. Motion carried.

12. Announcements, dates and events:

October 11 - No School: Teacher's Institute

October 14 - No School: Columbus Day

October 16-17 - Parent Teacher Conferences

October 17 - Regular Board Meeting 7:15 p.m.

13. Adjournment: A motion was made by Porter and seconded by Johnson to adjourn the meeting. Roll call vote: Yes- Johnson, Porter, Nehrkorn, Martin Yes - 4 No-0. Motion carried. 7:02 pm
