Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met Nov. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on November 20, 2024: Present: Carl Kessler, Jamie Kuhlmann, Jeff Miller, Michael Bates, and Josh Smith. Absent: Lynde Pavich and Brad Smith. Also present were Darren Root, Landon Lounsberry, Ryan Gardner, Seth McCoy, Amy Donaldson, and Matt Grimm. Present: Aidan Beck, Katie Thompson, Alex King, Angie Bartlett, Madi Bartlett, Traci Beck, Brayden Farnsworth, Adrian Koerper, Richard Koerper, Robert Farthing, Sicily Dinardo, Jennifer McQuality, Maddus McQuality, Jeremy McQuality, Reese Piper, Amber Piper, Jake Piper, Dana Baisden, James Baisden, Spencer Seiler, Kelsey Kahl, Jodi Reese, Jason Jones, Sandy Jones, Suzanne Smith, Evie Duffie, Liz Dinardo, Kelsie Fairfull, Mandy Alavazarez, Sandy Parrish, Melinda Marques, Anne Schmidt, Cindy Essex, Tahney Fletcher, Bekah Essex, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board.

Miller moved to adopt the agenda. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea          L. Pavich absent

Kessler yea       B. Smith absent

Kuhlmann yea   J. Smith yea

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to open the Truth in Taxation Hearing. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Bates yea          L. Pavich absent

Kessler yea       B. Smith absent

Kuhlmann yea   J. Smith yea

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Kessler asked for public comment. There was none.

J. Smith moved to close the Truth in Taxation Hearing. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Kessler yea       B. Smith absent

Kuhlmann yea   J. Smith yea

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to adopt the Levy. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Board came out of Closed Session at 8:19 pm.

Kuhlmann moved to approve consent agenda items which consisted of:

• Approved Minutes of Regular Board Meeting of 10/16/2024

• Approved SASED Action Items

• Approved School District Accounts Payable / Payroll

• Approved School Activity Accounts Payable

• Approved Monthly Financial Report

• Approved Monthly Activity Accounts Report

• Approved Maternity Leave - Kala Dudley

• Accepted Resignation of JH Head / HS Asst. Cross Country Coach - Zorah Austin • Employed 7th Grade VB Coach - Kyleigh Marty

• Employed 8th Grade VB Coach - Sami Eaker

• Employed JH Para Pro - Sawyer Henson

• Employed JH Cheer Coach - Olivia Harmon

• Accepted Resignation of 6th Grade Girls Basketball Coach - Rod Brandt

• Approved Graduation list

Superintendent Report

• District Updates

Miller moved to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Auburn for Tornado Siren at the Football Field. Bates seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Auburn for the Baseball Field Press Box. Kuhlmann seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Miller yea

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to approve FY24 audit. J. Smith seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

There being 5 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Miller moved to adjourn at 8:26 pm. J. Smith seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous the president declared the motion carried.
