Sparta Community Hospital has announced changes to its operations due to severe weather conditions forecasted for the upcoming weekend. The hospital is taking measures to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

The Convenient Care facility will be closed on Sunday, January 5, 2025. All clinics will open later than usual at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025. Patients with appointments scheduled before this time have been informed and asked to reschedule. Additionally, the Mobile Clinic services will not be available on Monday due to expected road conditions.

"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these adjustments may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we prioritize everyone’s safety during this time," stated Sparta Community Hospital in their announcement.

The hospital also shared cold weather safety tips from the National Safety Council. These include wearing layers, limiting exposure to extreme cold, watching for signs of frostbite and hypothermia, and staying prepared with an emergency kit.

"Thank you for trusting Sparta Community Hospital for your healthcare needs. Stay warm and safe!" concluded the statement from the hospital.
