State Representative David Friess has issued a statement regarding the recent House Rules Vote. He expressed concerns over the rules passed by Democrats, describing them as being "straight from the Mike Madigan playbook."

Friess noted that House Republicans had formed a House Rules Working Group with the aim of reviewing and suggesting changes for the 104th General Assembly. Despite informing Democrats about this working group and requesting a meeting to discuss proposed rule changes, Friess stated that their request was ignored.

"Despite all the talk of bipartisanship, our request was ignored," he remarked. Friess emphasized his commitment to continuing the fight for fairness in the chamber on behalf of Illinois residents.

Rep. Friess represents the 115th District.
