City of Red Bud Recreational Facilities Committee met Jan. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois Committee Members Absent: Kyle Donjon, Alan Piel

Council Members Present: Curt Guebert, Mike Rheinecker

Council Members Absent: Ben Schwartzkopf

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin/City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Mayor Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

Old Business

I. City Pool

A. Camera Investigation

Committee Member Nevois reported on Ehret Plumbing recommendations after he ran the camera inspection on the water lines/sand problem at the pool. Consensus was to follow Ehret Plumbing recommendations as soon as the weather allows.

B. Building Maintenance

1. Roof

Mueller and Eckart will get bid quotes together.

2. Tuckpointing

Ongoing

3. Walls

Ongoing

C. 2025 Management

1. Hiring 2025 Pool Manager

Jill Landgraf had found the old pool manager job description, which would need updating for salary/hourly, hours, additional training, personal time off. Landgraf will work on more details to present at the council meeting.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Nevois to authorize approval move forward with hiring a 2025 pool manager. Carried

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – December 16, 2024 Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve the minutes from the December 16, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Additional Community Garden Boxes

Committee Member Hanebutt said he and Matt Schaefer would be willing to build a few more garden boxes.

Recommendation made by Committee Member DeMond, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to authorize approval to add up to six community garden boxes. Carried

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

The meeting was adjourned at 6:49 P.M.
