City of Waterloo Water and Sewer Committee met Jan. 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Attendance: Joel Vogt ac ng as chair in absence of Kyle Buettner, Committee members Jim Hopkins and Ma Buettner, Alderwoman Tina Charron, Alderman Jim Trantham, Alderman Gary Most, Mayor Stan Darter, Clerk Mechelle Childers, J.R. Landeck, Nathan Krebel, Roberta Rohwedder, Sarah Craig, Jordan Riley, Jason Jones, Jeff Davis and Alex Bishop also present.

Mee ng called to order at 7:00 pm by Vogt.

Agenda Item 1: Petitions by Citizens on Non-Agenda Items: None.

Agenda Item 2: Approval of 10-28-24 Water-Sewer Committee Meeting Minutes: Minutes not distributed for approval.

Agenda Item 3: Approval of 11-04-24 Water-Sewer Committee Meeting: Minutes not distributed for approval.

Agenda Item 4: S&N Partners Water Main Project: The water agreement and rou ng was presented to the committee. Easements are drawn but have not been agreed to by property owners at me of mee ng. An 8” C900 water main will be installed to the new S&N Partners property and extended approximately 420 south beyond the S&N new building. A utility easement to further extend the line to Old Route 3 is also included. 4” polypropylene gas main will extend to new S&N Partners property. No objec ons to planned route or agreement were made.

Agenda Item 5: 700 Block of N Market St, Sewer Main Extension: There are two residents al parcels on the 700 block of N Market that are completely surrounded by the City. They are served by City gas and water u li es already. Discussion on if we wanted to annex into the City occurred and were presented two options for how to extend the City sewer to the proper es and what the costs would be. No action was taken, direction to continue forward with what a sewer extension would look like with firmer cost estimates.
