Women's History Month presents an opportunity to highlight and support the future women leaders of Illinois through initiatives like Rep. Friess’ Women’s Leadership Initiative. This program aims to foster the development of future female leaders by connecting them with experienced mentors and advisors.

The vision of the initiative is "to foster the academic, social, and emotional development of future women leaders in our community by creating valuable connections with experienced professional women mentors and advisors."

The mission statement further emphasizes its goals: "The Women’s Leadership Initiative aims to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of female leaders with the core values, attitudes, and skills essential for effective leadership."
