1. Petitions by Citizens on Non-Agenda Items – The audience was reminded again that this portion of the meeting is for them to make the committee aware of why they came to the meeting, but since it is not an agenda item, we are not allowed to formally answer the questions at the time. But we will be happy and willing to follow up after the meeting is completed. A concerned resident spoke up that her dishes had film on them and that she couldn’t get her white clothes and linens as clean as she could in the past. I assured her that the meeting was to discuss the water plant, and we would try to answer her questions as the meeting progressed. I also told her that I would speak to her after the meeting with any follow-up questions.

2. Approval of 02-03-25 Water / Sewer Mtg Minutes – Minutes had already been approved at the February Utility Meeting.

3. Water Plant Updates – Director of Public Works JR Landeck brought the committee up to date on the water softeners that have been offline most of the time since the plant start up. The sediment that has been clogging them has been identified and the problem has been corrected. As of Tuesday March 4th, the city would bring the softeners back online, as long as no major setbacks the residents should see softer water than Illinois American very soon and we should not see this level of hardness in our water ever again.

4. Comments – JR Landeck made the committee aware that a water main had been hit by a contracting company in the Quail Ridge Subdivision. The water main had been repaired but while the repair was being completed it became necessary to order a boil order for a section of town on Country Club Lane. The city will advise the residents as soon as the boil order is over.

Motion made to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. by Russ Row, second by Joel Vogt – meeting adjourned.
