Old Business
I. City Pool
A. Sand Issue Further Investigation – Update
Eckart reported that Ehret will be here tomorrow.
II. Splash Pad
A. Remove Backflow Preventor/Booster Pump - Update
Jeff Mueller said that the backflow preventors are required because the splash pad is using city water, so they will remain. The pressure reducers are being removed because of the loss of PSI. They should be here Wednesday or Thursday to remove the pressure reducers and Mueller will then run the splash pad to see if that solves the problem.
New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – March 17, 2025
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Piel, to approve the minutes from the March 17, 2025, meeting. Carried
II. Dog Park Discussion
Mayor Harbaugh said that when Mike Moll gave his presentation for the dog park, the council talked about a fall date. According to the 2026 capital fund, the only money available for the dog park is the money which has been donated through UltraSite’s fund raising efforts. The FY’25 excess funds may be available, but transferring of funds would not occur until after the audit results in October December, or there is a possibility of going out for an OSLAD Grant, but at any rate, this project probably will not happen until 2026. Mayor Harbaugh feels like we need to update UltraSite on the timing. The fencing was estimated at $10,000 and it is priced at $45,000-$50,000. The Red Bud Community Foundation will discuss contributing.
III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Chairman Donjon commented that the retaining wall at Ratz Park parking lot looks great.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:31 P.M.
