The Board of Education of Chester Community Unit School District No. 139 held a Special Meeting on June 11, 2025, in the High School Juergens Gym. President Debi Caraway called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance
Coffey motioned, Krieg seconded to enter into the executive session at 6:01 p.m. Roll call vote. Ayes: Caraway, Davitz, Wolff, Krieg, Coffey, Ebers, Fricke Nays: none. Motion carried.
Attorney Caleb Mundorf present during executive session.
Davitz motioned, Wolff seconded to adjourn the executive session at 8:18 p.m. Roll call vote. Ayes: Caraway, Davitz, Wolff, Krieg, Coffey, Ebers, Fricke Nays: none. Motion carried.
Wolff motioned, Davitz seconded to enter into the regular session at 8:19 p.m. Roll call vote. Ayes: Caraway, Davitz, Wolff, Krieg, Coffey, Ebers, Fricke Nays: none. Motion carried.
Wolff motioned, Coffey seconded to approve Jill Miesner as Director of Student Services for the 2025-2026 school year, pending successful completion of all employment requirements, including a criminal background check and EHR. Roll call vote. Ayes: Caraway, Coffey, Davitz, Krieg, Wolff, Ebers, Fricke Nays: none. Motion carried.
Davitz motioned, Fricke seconded to adjourn the special meeting at 8:22 p.m. Upon roll call, all members voted aye. Motion carried.
The next REGULAR MEETING of the Board of Education will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. (Executive Session at 6:00 p.m.) in the Chester Community High School Juergens Gym located at 1901 Swanwick Street, Chester, IL 62233.
