City of Red Bud City Council met June 16.

The City Council of Red Bud, Randolph County, Illinois met on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 7:06 P.M. at Red Bud City Hall, City Council Chambers.

Members Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, Bryce Parsons, Curt Guebert, Patrick Mueller, Bill Hanebutt, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois, Kyle Donjon, Alan Piel

Members Absent: None

Others Present: City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

I. Call to Order at 7:06 P.M. by Mayor Susan Harbaugh

II. Roll Call by City Clerk Joanne Cowell

III. Approval of Permanent Street Program Bid

The low bid from Rooters is for $159,720.75. Superintendent Eckart asked the committee to approve the bid, NTE $180,000, to cover any extra patching or repairs. The streets involved are Hilltop from Charles, McCarthy to Thomas, Steven, Patti, Diane, Laverne, and Clarence.

Motion made by Council Member Nevois, seconded by Council Member Guebert, to authorize approval to accept the bid from Rooters for permanent street repair, NTE $180,000, at the unit price quoted. The vote was as follows: Parsons, aye; Guebert, aye; Mueller, aye; Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Nevois, aye; Donjon, aye; Piel, aye. Motion carried.

IV. Approval of Enterprise Zone to Include Residential Areas

Motion made by Council Member Piel, seconded by Council Member Parsons to authorize approval to show support to include new construction residential areas in the Enterprise Zone Map. The vote was as follows: Guebert, aye; Mueller, aye;

Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Nevois, aye; Donjon, aye; Piel, aye; Parsons, aye. Motion carried.

VI. Adjournment

Motion made at 7:07 P.M. by Council Member Hanebutt, seconded by Council Member Mueller, to adjourn the meeting. The vote was as follows: all ayes. Motion carried.
