Dr. Elvira Salarda has retired from her role at Sparta Medical Office after 33 years of service, with her last day in clinic on July 30, 2025. During her tenure, Dr. Salarda provided care to multiple generations of families in the community and was involved in various aspects of patient care, including delivering babies and supporting patients through significant life events.
Dr. Salarda and her husband, Freddie, have been residents of Sparta, where they raised their children and operated a restaurant. The couple became well known within the community.
An open house event to honor Dr. Salarda’s career is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the front lobby of Sparta Community Hospital.
Sparta Medical Office has announced that Dr. James Reeves will join the team alongside Deanne Rieckenberg, APRN, and Jennifer Demsar, APRN.
On behalf of the entire team at Sparta Community Hospital District, the organization stated: "We thank Dr. Salarda for her years of service and wish her joy and fulfillment in this next chapter of life."
