Auburn Community Unit School District 10 Board met July 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education on July 16, 2025. Present: Carl Kessler, Jamie Kuhlmann, Brad Smith, Michael Bates, Tyler Berola, and Lynde Pavich. Absent: Jeff Miller. Also present were Darren Root, Seth McCoy, Ryan Gardner, and Amy Donaldson. Present: Dawn Wheat, Cindy Essex, Katie Thompson, Erin Bidleman, and Ruby Howard, secretary to the board.

Bates moved to adopt the agenda. Smith seconded the motion. 

The voting was as follows:

Bates yea Miller absent

Berola yea Pavich yea

Kessler yea Smith yea

Kuhlmann yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Kuhlmann moved to enter Closed Session at 7:01 pm. Bates seconded the motion. 

The voting was as follows:

Bates yea Miller absent

Berola yea Pavich yea

Kessler yea Smith yea

Kuhlmann yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

The board came out of Closed Session at 8:00 pm.

Smith moved to grant permission for the purchase of weight room equipment through Omnia Partners. Bates seconded the motion.

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Bates moved to adjourn at 8:34 pm. Kuhlmann seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous, and the president declared the motion carried.
