The Illinois House of Representatives is set to begin its fall veto session this week, with lawmakers returning to the Capitol for three days. The session will resume again from October 28 to 30.

Traditionally, the fall session focuses on bills that have been vetoed since the legislature adjourned in May. However, other legislative matters may also be addressed during this period.

Members of the public can follow proceedings from the House floor through a live stream available online. Additionally, schedules for both floor sessions and committee hearings are accessible via official channels.

David Friess, a Republican, was elected to represent Illinois' 115th House District in 2023, succeeding Nathan Reitz.
