David Friess, Illinois State Representative for 115th District | Official Website
My District Director, Cathy Dupertuis, attended the unveiling of a historical mural with members of the Red Bud and Kaskaskia Masonic lodges. The two lodges worked together to commission artist Christine Brunk-DeShazo to create the mural in honor of the United States’ 250th Anniversary and to recognize Western Star Lodge No. 107 and Kaskaskia Lodge No. 86, both established in 1806.
The mural depicts General Lafayette presenting his sword to Shadrack Bond, who was both Grand Master and Governor of Illinois. The sword featured in the artwork remains on display at the site.

David Friess, a Republican, was elected to represent Illinois' 115th House District in 2023, succeeding Nathan Reitz.
