Carbondale band fans are being advised to get their tickets now for the last local performance of the popular band the Swamp Tigers.
The band’s swan song is scheduled for Nov. 18 at the Varsity Center.
In a Facebook post, the honky-tonk, traditional country and rock and roll-themed group announced it would “be no more” by the end of the year.
Over the last six years, the group has distinguished itself to the point of sharing a stage with the likes of REO Speedwagon, the Bottle Rockets, Wayne Hancock, Dale Watson, the Bellfuries, Pokey LaFarge and others.
The Varsity Center show starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening an hour before. Tickets are $9 and available in advance at thevarsitycenter.eventbrite.com and the Science Center at the University Mall.
