Regular Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. Present: Anderson, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Absent: Banach & Williams.
Banach arrived at 6:34 p.m.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Anderson to approve the minutes of the December 21st, 2017 Regular Meeting. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Williams arrived at 6:40 p.m.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Anderson to approve the bills and treasurer's report and additional bills totaling $3,354.88 (Frontier $451.33, Lanter $68.78, Wal-Mart $2233.74, GFI $64.61, Bureau of Lectures $395.00, Butler $14.91 & QNS $126.51). Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Banach, Seconded by Anderson to adopt Board Policy Updates; 2:220, 6:80, 6:210, & 8:70. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Reading of Essay's by 8th graders.
Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Banach at 6:58 P.M. to go into closed session for the purposes of Discussing the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance or Dismissal of Specific Employees, and Student Discipline. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Williams at 8:10 P.M. to go into open session. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Banach to hire Grade School Volleyball head coach Ellie Rush and Grade School Volleyball assistant coach Lori Frank for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Williams to approve volunteer coach for High School Softball, Olivia Massie, for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Williams, Seconded by Walker to accept resignation of the Grade School Athletic Director, Allen Haley, for the 2018/2019 school year. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Eastham to approve vacations for 2 high school students. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Norris, Seconded by Walker to approve Ag Field trip for February 9-10 and K-4th trip for March 22nd. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams.
Nay: None. Motion carried.
Discussion of District Tractor- No action taken.
