Republican state House candidate David Friess could soon be coming to a neighborhood near you.
“We had a great time at the Prairie du Rocher Parade,” Friess recently posted on Facebook. “The next parade is this Saturday, June 9 at 4 p.m. in Marissa.”
Friess, who is running against incumbent Rep. Jerry Costello (D-Smithton) in November, has made crisscrossing the district to be seen and heard by voters a regular part of his campaign.
“[It's a] great day to be outside,” he wrote in another post. “Thomas [his son] had a doubleheader in Wentzville this morning. We got back to Waterloo in time to enjoy the car show. When I was in the service, I had '67 Chevelle like the one in the pic, but mine had a little more rust.”
Throughout his campaign, the Air Force C-141 crew chief operator during Operation Desert Storm has also made pledging to oust longtime House Speaker Mike Madigan (D-Chicago) a staple of his campaign.
