The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Jo Ellen (Jodi) Burton. The following members were present: Valerie Baxmeyer, Jo Ellen (Jodi) Burton, Lori Dillenberger, Neil Giffhorn, Gary Most, and James Yaekel Jr. John Caupert was absent The following administration were present: Superintendent Brian Charron and Special Education Coordinator Julie Bender.
The following guest was present: James Moss.
Motion was made by Giffhorn and seconded by Most to adopt a resolution to authorize the issuance of $6,000,000.00 in Tax Anticipation Warrants in anticipation of the collection of taxes levied for 2017. Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Giffhorn, aye; Most, aye: Yaekel Jr., aye; and Baxmeyer, aye. Six yeas. No nays. One absent. Motion passed.
Motion was made by Giffhorn and seconded by Baxmeyer that an executive closed session be called at 5:08 p.m. to discuss the purchase or lease of real property. [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5)] Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Giffhorn, aye; Most, aye: Yaekel Jr., aye; and Baxmeyer, aye. Six yeas. No nays. One absent. Motion passed.

Motion was made by Most and seconded by Yaekel Jr. to adopt a resolution to authorize and direct the purchase of certain real estate by Waterloo Community Unit School District #5. Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Giffhorn, nay; Most, aye: Yaekel Jr., aye; and Baxmeyer, aye. Five yeas. One nay. One absent. Motion passed.
Motion was made by Giffhorn and seconded by Baxmeyer to accept and approve the attached Memorandum of Understanding with Waterloo Association of Service Personnel (W.A.S.P.) and Waterloo CUSD #5 Board of Education. Burton, aye; Dillenberger, aye; Giffhorn, aye; Most, aye: Yaekel Jr., aye; and Baxmeyer, aye. Six yeas. No nays. One absent. Motion passed.
