Maeystown Fire Department issued the following announcement on.
The annual Maeystown Spring Art Show will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24 from 11:00-4:00 each day in the Preservation Society Mill and other downtown buildings as needed. The featured artists this year are Waterloo native Tim Schrieber, Kelli Hedinger and the works of the late Fannie Sue Schellhardt, a friend and neighbor of Maeystown.
Schrieber is the son of Waterloo artist Barbara Schrieber. He works primarily with watercolor, while Kelli Hedinger's work will feature Words and Wood. Mrs Schellhardt's work is primarily in watercolor and oil. Mrs Schlellhardt was also a student of Barbara Schrieber's art studio.
The mission of the Maeystown Spring Art Show is to feature the work of local Monroe County artists. The event is sponsored by Historic Maeystown. There is no admission charge. For more information please call 618-458-6660 or email Marcia at marciabraswell@gmail.com.
