Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Randolph County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Randolph County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that two men and one woman were released in Randolph County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jerry D. Pelate. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 18 years old. He is now 20.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Randolph County municipality.
