City of Pinckneyville City Council met May 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

ROLL CALL

Mayor Robert L. Spencer called the special meeting of the Pinckneyville City Council to order at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall. Members present: Commissioners Ricky J. Cicardi, Kevin B. Hicks, Sammy D. Peradotta, William B. Stotlar, and Mayor Robert L. Spencer. Mayor Spencer declared a quorum present. Administrative staff present: Deputy Clerk Terri Lindner, Fire Chief Jim Gielow and Attorney Don Bigham.

APPROVAL TO HAVE POOL GUTTERS PAINTED

Commissioner Cicardi made a motion to request approval to have pool gutters painted by Mike Jenkel. Commissioner Stotlar seconded the motion. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

APPROVAL TO HIRE SUMMER HELP AT PARK

Commissioner Cicardi made a motion to request approval to hire summer help at the Park. Commissioner Peradotta seconded the motion. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

ADJOURNMENT TO EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion by Commissioner Peradotta, seconded by Commissioner Hicks to move the meeting to Executive Session at 8:02 a.m. for the discussion of Executive Session for Section 2(c)(1) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee and Section 2(c)(5) Purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public property. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

RETURN TO REGULAR MEETING

Motion by Commissioner Peradotta, seconded by Commissioner Cicardi to return to the regular meeting at 9:45 a.m. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar, and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

ORDINANCE NO. O-2019-13 ENTER SALES AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE 401 WATERWORKS, 345 WATERWORKS AND 648 OAKWOOD IN PINCKNEYVILLE

Commissioner Peradotta made a motion to place on file an ordinance authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois to enter into a sales agreement for purchase of real estate located at 401 Waterworks, 345 Waterworks and 648 Oakwood Lane in Pinckneyville. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cicardi. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

ORDINANCE NO. O-2019-14 ENTER SALES AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE 624 OAKWOOD LANE IN PINCKNEYVILLE

Commissioner Peradotta made a motion to place on file an ordinance authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois to enter into a sales agreement for purchase of real estate located at 624 Oakwood Lane in Pinckneyville. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cicardi. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion made by Commissioner Cicardi, seconded by Commissioner Stotlar to adjourn the special meeting. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar, and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried and the special meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
