2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62233?

There were six offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62233, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in the Chester zip code. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2015, and the oldest was a 39-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Corrie Singleton. He was convicted of a property crime in 2004, when he was 21 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
