City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met May 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Clem Esker, Kyle Donjon, Mike Rheinecker, Curt Guebert, Jeremy DeMond

Committee Members Absent:

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, David Friess, Susan Harbaugh

Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry, City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin. Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Esker called the meeting to order at 7:16 P.M.

Old Business

I. Community Garden

Poetker reported that all but four gardens are planted. Walmart has given the city a $1,000 grant. Poetker is applying for a grant from Loewe’s. Eckart is working on getting the water hydrant installed.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting April 15, 2019

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Esker, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the minutes from the April 15, 2019 meeting. Carried

II. Request from Vices’ for Fall Fest

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Esker, seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to approve the request from Vices’ to close Oak Street the length of Vices’ lot and borrow the tables from Ratz Pavilion #4 for a Fall Fest on September 14, 2019. Carried

III. Request from Randolph County Humane Society to Collect at 4-Way on September 27-28, 2019

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Esker, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the request from Randolph County Humane Society to collect at the 4-way on September 27, 2019, 2:00-6:00 P.M. and September 28, 2019, 8:00 A.M.-Noon. Carried

IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

Meeting was adjourned at 7:21 P.M.
