SSM Physical Therapy issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
The Quick Board is a visual motor learning assessment used to assess how the patient is processing visual information and responding via the injured limb. With neuroplastic changes that occur after injury this provides the clinician with a baseline for the patient and enables them to see progress through the course of rehab. Quick Board is a sensor platform that can detect reaction times and visual processing times.
The patient watches a screen in front of them and must touch the corresponding sensor on the platform that is displayed on the screen. Based on their performance, it is able to determine the athlete’s symmetry on the following items.
· Contact time
· Reaction time
· React precision
· Sequence precision
