Waterloo Community Unit School District No. 5 Board of Education met Jan. 27.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

I. Roll Call, Opening Comments.

II. Executive session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity; and further, discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Open Meetings Act, for semi- annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)(21)]

IV. Consent Agenda.

A. Consideration to approve the minutes of the December 16, 2019 regular board meeting and the January 20, 2020 special board meeting.

B. Consideration to approve the executive session minutes of the December 16, 2019 regular board meeting and the January 20, 2020 special board meeting; and further, to make public certain executive session minutes from July 2019 through December 2019 according to the requirements of Illinois law; and further, to enact Board Policy 2:220 - Board of Education Meeting Procedures - entitled "Verbatim Record of Closed Meetings", to destroy and destruct the audio recordings of all closed meetings after 18 months have passed since being made which would include all closed meetings prior to June of 2018.

C. Consideration to re-assign Stacy Snodgrass as the District Accounting/Payroll Clerk, for the 2019/2020 school year, effective January 6, 2020.

D. Consideration to employ Sheri Jones, as an administrative assistant II, for the 2019/2020 school year, effective January 29, 2020.

E. Consideration to accept a letter of resignation, dated January 10, 2019, from Alana Bready, special education teacher, effective at the end of the 2019/2020 school year.

F. Consideration to accept a letter of resignation, dated January 21, 2020, from Megan Marlin, special education paraprofessional, effective immediately.

G. Consideration to accept an irrevocable letter of retirement, dated December 6, 2019, from Dena Yearian in accordance with the contract Agreement Between the Board of Education of Waterloo Community Unit School District No. 5 and the Waterloo Classroom Teachers' Association (W.C.T.A.), as stated in Article IX, Section 9.10, Severance Incentive, effective at the end of the 2023/2024 school year.

H. Consideration to approve the 2019/2020 seniority lists for non-teaching personnel.

V. Motion to accept the treasurer's report, student activity reports, and to authorize investments.

VI. Motion to approve the bills.

B. Consideration to adopt a resolution to prohibit sexual harassment.

C. Review and award bid for parking lot improvements at Zahnow Elementary and Rogers Elementary.
