Tilden Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2018 - 17.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Tilden included 19 fires - 12 structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $2,500 in fire loss - or about $132 per fire.

The Tilden Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $37,451 in 2018.
