Pinckneyville Community High School District #101 Board of Education met July 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Education of Pinckneyville Community High School District #101, Perry County, Illinois, met in a special session at 5:00 p.m. at the Pinckneyville Community High School in that district. The following officers and members of the Board were present: Greg Thompson, President, Brian Kellerman, Jeff Suchomski, Jennifer Robb, and Kyle Pursell. Lisa Stanton and Greg Bigham were absent. Tony Wilson, Principal, and Keith Hagene, Superintendent, was also present.

Visitor present: Pete Spitler. No visitor comments were made.

It was moved by Jennifer Robb and seconded by Kyle Pursell to accept the resignation of Mrs. Cathy Kohnen as Pinckneyville Community High School Science Teacher and Head Volleyball Coach as presented. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.

It was moved by Brian Kellerman and seconded by Jeff Suchomski to employ Mrs. Casey Giacomo as Pinckneyville Community High School Science Teacher. Roll call: Greg Thompson, yes; Kyle Pursell, yes; Jennifer Robb, yes; Jeff Suchomski, yes; and Brian Kellerman, yes. All ayes. Motion carried.

It was moved by Brian Kellerman and seconded by Kyle Pursell to employ Mr. Mike Layne as Pinckneyville Community High School Head Volleyball Coach. Roll call: Greg Thompson, yes; Kyle Pursell, yes; Jennifer Robb, yes; Jeff Suchomski, yes; and Brian Kellerman, yes. All ayes. Motion carried.

It was moved by Jeff Suchomski and seconded by Kyle Pursell to adjourn the meeting at 5:07 p.m. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.
